About the Food Boutique

We originally started The Food Boutique back in 2010 after having been asked several times to cater for friends and family events. Everyone knew I had a passion for food and loved to cook and this is where it all started. I also come from a line of professional chefs and pro cake makers, so it was the natural choice for me to do something with food.
To gain further knowledge I went off and worked in catering for several years, including a stint at Jaguar Land Rover, Rugby Borough Council and in private corporate catering.

We then opened our own food stall and did farmers markets and food fayers around the Midlands, selling a variety of food including a wide range of pies, pastry’s and cakes. We’ve been featured in various newspapers and across social media.

I originally decided to create a blog mainly to document my recipes and store the hundreds of photographs I've taken over the years. Then I though why not publish them and let everyone else enjoy the food I love to cook and we love to eat - so here it is.

A lot of my ideas are based on food we've had during our travels around Canada and the USA. However, there are some which are traditionally British - I couldn't leave out a blinding pie!!
